Price Transparency Era
Toward the end of 2018 The Solicitors Regulation Authority introduced new rules to ensure clients have the best possible information on solicitor’s fees at the outset.
Law firms are now required to publish price and service information on their website for the following areas of law; residential conveyancing, probate and employment tribunal claims to name a few. The aim is to provide greater transparency to clients enabling them to make informed decisions about their legal matter.
With this in mind our property team have provided cost information on our website but would invite you to contact them to discuss your sale or purchase in more detail so you can get the best possible advice on costs at the outset, including informing you of all those ‘hidden costs’ that are part of the selling and buying process.
We appreciate cost is an important factor in choosing a solicitor to act on your behalf and we strive to be competitive with our fees. There are of course other factors to consider when making your choice including;
- Location, will you benefit from visiting the office to discuss your matter face to face? We are centrally located in Aylesbury town centre making it convenient to pop in to see one of our specialists.
- Reputation, Parrott and Coales have been around for over 250 years and with this a great reputation has been built particularly in the local area. We pride ourselves on great service and good client relationships and continue to build on this.
- Recommendations, many clients are more comfortable instructing a firm they don’t know if a friend or family member has had a good experience. We also work closely with a number of local estate agents who are happy to recommend us to their clients as solicitors who get the job done.
- Service, with the growing number of online conveyancers in the market place we are happy to say we maintain our client relationships by avoiding a ‘factory firm’ approach. When you instruct one of our team, that person will remain your point of contact throughout your transaction. You will be provided with a direct phone number and email for your team member so you always know who to contact when needed.
With this in mind if you would like to discuss any of your conveyancing needs please contact one of the team who will be happy to talk you through the process, costs and next steps. We look forward to hearing from you.
