Katie is a First Year Trainee Solicitor currently completing her second seat in Parrott and Coales’ Private Client team. She is assisting the team with a variety of work, including obtaining grants of probate, the administration of estates and drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. In her first seat, Katie worked in the Civil Litigation department.
Katie is responsible for dealing with change of name clients by either Deed or Statutory Declaration and drafting the appropriate documentation. She also conducts advocacy in respect of applications for Charging Orders.
Prior to commencing her training contract, Katie worked in personal injury and was involved in one of the largest group litigation orders for individuals who developed skin dermatitis from ‘Toxic Sofas’. Katie then specialised in acting for individuals who had developed asbestos related diseases resulting from exposure to asbestos in their workplace. Katie also had a brief period of undertaking Social Housing work before moving to Parrott and Coales.
Outside of the office:
Katie enjoys swimming, spending time with her friends and family and surfing when she gets the chance.
